They charge for services I did not receive. I contacted my credit card company and they removed the charges. Then Site 5 sends me a bill for the service again and adds a $25 fee for the credit card company dispute. In the meantime

, I am current on the correct billing ($141/month). They suspend my account, lock me out of the VPS, all hosting in all my cpanel accounts go down. I finally agreed to pay every thing they wanted - feels like ransom - and they don't provide a way to make an online payment. Keep telling me to login - but they locked me out. No phone number to call, only a chat screen. These people are really, really, really bad.

I've had a reseller account with Site5 for nearly 10 years and for the most part they've been pretty good. But now... well, I am hugely disappointed that there is no support any longer.

No ticket system, no phone, just a chat - but guess what? The chat app doesn't work! I've tried on multiple browsers at different times of day - no luck.

I managed to find an email address and have yet to get a reply. How am I supposed to run my business if I have zero support? And, in the age of google requiring SSL, they offer no free options such as Lets Encrypt - no plans to support it. I plan to move my cpanel accounts to another host that values their long-time customers.

I've been maintaining sites hosted with site5 for *years*. At first, their service and support were great. I started out maintaining a dental website and later helped a friend host two of her photography websites at Site5.

Over

time, it took longer and longer for support tickets to get addressed. Since Sept. 2018, I haven't been able to contact technical support at all. They no longer offer phone support and no one responds to chat requests. I tried contacting them via email and was told to use the online chat system, which doesn't work.

From a pure hosting perspective, their service has been good. It's been stable and the server performance has been reasonable. However, if either of the sites we host with them now go down, I wouldn't have a way to contact support.

Lastly, the hosting cost now appears expensive, considering I can't contact technical support anymore. I'm in the process now of finding new website hosting.

We have 200 websites across 5 sever companies. We switched to Site5 after another one of our server companies were bought out and the quality of service started dropping. Now, we're in the same position with Site5.

We have 40 sites with them across 4 servers: 2 VPS and 2 Shared. We've been running into uptime issues with one of our VPS servers. It has two marginally active sites.

No ecommerce, nothing fancy. The server has been up and down for three weeks. We keep getting ticket responses saying "looks like its up...

check it out and let us know." only to have an angry client call the next day. When we called them on this, we go no helpful support. On top of this, our tickets complaining about the terrible service were deleted from the ticket thread. By the time we go a tech to address some of the issues, we had already migrated the site.

I was a loyal Site5 customers since 2011, paying around $820 a year for a VPS server. After many years of amazing service and support, after being purchased by EIG, everything changed dramatically. Support tickets would be 1 month without being answered.

A lot of downtime... they removed their phone support, so the only way to communicate was submitting a ticket. Even their online chat option was useless, as anything you'd reach out to them for, they'd say "please submit a ticket"

I decided to pull out and move my VPS server with more than a dozen websites to a new host.

I usually paid $820 per year for my site5 VPS server ... and still had around 5-6 months left until my renewal, so I requested a pro-rated refund. It is important to note that The customer service agent offered this pro-rated refund after originally offering a pro-rated account credit, which I said I had no use for.

They said they would escalate it to management and offer me a pro-rated refund. That was 3 months ago. Since then I've sent 5 follow up emails to the ticket, which have been completely ignored.

I reached out by Chat, and they told me to submit a ticket. Truly pathetic. The service is pitiful, The Support is pathetic. Stay far far away.

Sadly, I have decided to terminate a 10+ year relationship with Site5. When I started with them, they were growing and very customer-centric. Today, they have become a sub-par provider with automatons in customer support and billing.

After trying to reach out to them twice for a very, very simple inquiry (they only provide support via email and chat) and having two separate support chat sessions ranking in the top 5 worst chat sessions of my life. The time lapse between questions and answers ranged from 1 to 10 minutes. After typing several '?' they would answer, "Sorry for the delay" with no substantive answer and then another long time lapse.

This became so infuriating that I told them I wanted to cancel and I wanted a refund on the remaining 17 months of my contract. The automatons in billing ignored all the detail in my correspondence and replied with the same answer, not addressing the issues I was raising. So, I write this to warn others, if you are looking for a place that will provide you decent support, don't buy from Site5.

I would also suggest that any provider that does not provide phone support is probably a dangerous bet. I can tell you that Site5 is garbage.

Our site was migrated to Site5 from IX Webhosting. We were notified in January 2018 to expect a migration where in all the benefits were outlined and assured that: "All of your products, settings, and content - plus a lot more! -

should be there ready for you.". In April an email was received stating our site had been migrated. No communication at all prior to migration providing the date of the migration and what to expect.

Immediately after the notification of a successful migration our site went down and email services stopped working. Since Site5 customer service is only available via a ticket system we submitted a ticket to troubleshoot our outage. It took 2 days for the first response to be received. Without getting into the weeds of explaining the back and forth it took 6 days to find some resolution to our issues.

First we lost functionality because our previous hosting plan with IX Webhosting included mySql stored procedures. The plan provided by Site5 only includes stored procedure functionality at an additional fee. Apparently it is the practice of Site5 to just drop service levels without notification. This was the cause of our site crashing.

Second Site5 failed to map our forwarders properly but tech support couldn't isolate the problem. We found it on our own and corrected.

A month after the above issues were addressed DNS services were dropped without notification and our site went down again. Apparantely they shutdown IX Webhosting servers and my domain needed updated to point to different servers. We updated immediately but 3 days later still no site. Another chat to tech support and this time we were told to point DNS to a different address than was given previously. We asked to verify this and it was was confirmed. 2 Days later site still down. Yet again another chate session. This tech told us to point DNS back to what was specified on the original response the week before. Obviously something on their end was wrong and sure enough this tech actually knew how to correct and reset their servers. 1 hour later our site was back up with almost all DNS propagated.

Management at Site5 could have cared less about the problems they clearly caused. No prior communication of what to expect with a migration to there company was completely unprofessional and no guidance or support after to help resolve.

I cannot in the slightest recommend this company.

I requested a restore from backup. It took 10 days and 4 chat sessions for them to complete the restore. Unfortunately, they only keep backups for 7 days.

The restore was with the bad code. There is no way to contact support except through Chat. You never get the same person. Not acceptable!
